#1436 -Very scarce, early English safety, c. 1920, probably made by Conway Stewart, imprint "Twilfit corsets made in England” made of black hard rubber, very crisp guilloché, closed lenght 105 mm, open length 139 mm, diameter 13 mm, extra fine flexible point nib imprint: Warranted 1st quality 14 Kt, this is the correct nib for Conway Stewart safeties from those years. Smooth propelling mechanism, original seal (not changed, if you plan to use it might need a replacement), very crisp, no oxidation, very rare, near mint. |
